Last week, we introduced the nine dimensions of wellness. We’ll focus on the “emotional” today.
An emotionally well person can identify, express and manage their entire range of feelings and would consider seeking assistance to address areas of concern.
Here are a few ways to be emotionally well:
- Identify and express a range of feelings
- Appropriate emotional expression is healthy, which facilitates productive relationships.
- Keep your expectations realistic and understand that you cannot control others’ responses.
- Sleep helps! Get the recommended 7-9 hours of sleep to avoid being irritated
- Establish and maintain relationships with friends (while staying physically distant!)
- Talk to a mental health provider about your emotional well-being

Continue taking care of the other dimensions for positive holistic well-being!
