Happy Veterans Day! We extend our sincerest gratitude to those who have proudly served our country.

This Veteran’s Day, we caught up with Veteran and MHA’s Military Veteran Peer Network Coordinator, Edward Howard. We asked Edward why he is passionate about the work he and his team do every day and here is what he had to say:

"As the Military Veteran Peer Network Coordinator for Mental Health America of Greater Houston. I have the opportunity to be the first contact for Veterans, service members, and their families by providing resources and various training throughout Harris and Fort Bend County.

The amount of joy that is provided when combat-wounded veterans become self-sufficient strengthens my belief in community and a higher power. I believe each day is a blessing and with that comes the responsibility to help those who are less fortunate than yourself.”

Thank you, Edward, for the wonderful work you do every day and for serving our country.
