On Tuesday, November 7th, the Houston Independent School District will elect six new school board members for its nine-person board. With that many seats in play, this election could dramatically affect the development of trauma-informed curriculum focused around Social Emotional Learning within Houston’s classrooms.

As advocates, we ask you to make your voice is heard this election.

Do your research. Head to the polls. Cast a ballot for the men and women you think will have a positive impact on our youth’s education and well-being.
